I'm Sandy,
the owner of Pooches and Purrs Pet Sitting. I have owned my own Pet Sitting business and have been a pet sitter for over 17 years.
As a successful professional pet sitter, I take pride in the quality of care I provide. I am highly dependable and show up on time and on schedule. The feedback from clients is that their pets feel happy and secure and in turn, the owners feel comfortable leaving their precious pets in my care.

I love all animals. Currently my husband and I have 3 dogs. We lost one of our pugs and our cat last year. I'd have a house full of animals, if I could, so that's one of the main reasons I love being a pet sitter. It allows me to be with animals all the time.

We first contacted Sandy Martin, of Pooches & Purrs, during the Summer of 2013, and have since called her for numerous pet sitting visits. It was obvious from the beginning that Sandy is not only doing a job she loves, but also that she approaches her business in a very professional manner. Sandy led me through our first meeting by asking all the pertinent questions regarding our pet's routines, likes and personalities. Sandy has a great way with animals. We have three cats with very different personalities ranging from a senior cat, a middle aged shy kitty, and a rambunctious youngster. Sandy has developed a relationship with one each of them, and even our shy kitty will now come out and visit with her when she comes over. When we are away, Sandy keeps up updated on our pet's activities through text messages and pictures. We love that! The peace of mind we get knowing that Sandy is providing our cats with TLC when we are away is so appreciated.
Along with taking great care of our cats, Sandy has always gone above and beyond the pet sitting duties by making sure the house is secure. She will bring in the newspapers, check for packages, water plants, and has even kept our outside patio plants watered during the heat of the summer. It has truly been a pleasure doing business with Sandy. She is dependable, quick to respond to calls and emails regarding scheduling and is very concerned with our expectations. We highly recommend Pooches & Purrs for anyone traveling or needing a little extra care for their pets.

extremely detailed, consciousness and dependable. I
highly recommend her.
I have an elderly sweet dachshund and Sandy understands her needs. Sandy has had older
dogs of her own and knows how to administer medications
and be aware of senior dog ailments. I also have two Rex
bunnies. Sandy is gentle with them, feeds them and
regularly cleans their cage when I am gone. It is a
wonderful feeling when I leave my house that my beloved
pets will have good, professional care with Sandy.
Along with taking care of our pets, Sandy also gets our
mail, watches for deliveries at our front door, takes in
the newspapers, waters our plants, sets out trash cans
and empties the pool baskets. She will also turn lights
on and off and set my alarm system according to our
schedule.
I love that my pets can stay in the comfort of their
home without going to a kennel, and having a dependable
pet sitter like Sandy Martin makes this possible at a
reasonable rate. Sandy is someone you can trust to be

Sandy has petsitted for us several times the past year, for a few days up to a few weeks and she has rightfully earned our trust and loyalty. She is extremely professional and her love of animals shines through.
Recently, the week before we were to leave on a long trip, our cat developed a serious infection. We were really stressed about his care, what it would cost and felt guilty for leaving, but thanks to Sandy, we were able to leave as scheduled knowing our cat would be in excellent hands.
Without hesitation and with the confidence you'd expect of a pro, Sandy undertook his extra daily care, administered his medications, transported him to and from the vet and stayed in touch with us, even sending photos.

I always hire Sandy Martin of "Pooches and Purrs Pet Sitting" to take care of our dogs and cats when we go out of town. I do not worry about the pets because I know that Sandy treats all pets as she would want others to treat her pets. She even sends photos and videos daily to show that her customers' pets are doing fine. She keeps careful records of all you need done and checks through the list on each and every visit. She comes by our house 4 times a day since we have a dog and no doggie door. She is willing to stay at a home overnight if a pet owner prefers that.
Sandy has a calm voice that my nervous dog responds well to. One of my cats follows her around the house like a puppy.
